Walter's #2

One of the most noticeable things about the new digs is the greatly enlarged bar area with it's backlit liquor bottles and wall of wine, plus an area of casual almost living room style seating. It's  a very relaxing place to have a drink and small talk even if you aren't planning on a meal.
But if you are you could start of with Hearts of Palm & grilled asparagus or the Peeky Toe Crab Cake.
Or perhaps the Wild Oyster Stew or some Rope Grown Mussels

or Crispy Asian Raviolis

For entrees you can select from eleven choices: 2 from the air, 4 from the land and 5 from the sea! Plus if you want to add a little something there are 9 more sides to taste.
And of course the best part for some is always the dessert and coffee.

for more info go to Walter's
and try the food yourself.

Walter's... It's open and It's Fabulous!

The tuesday before New Year's saw the opening of the new Walter's at 2 Union Square.  They started off with lunch and I got there for dinner hours.  The new place looks smashing, it's slick in a big city way and at the same time it's cozy in a very Portland way.  The food looked great, I had the fried Calamari and a beer at the bar after I finished shooting ( almost 500 images! ) sweet, sour, tangy, nice crunch, nice. Because I have such a variety of images I decided to not give you any images of a finished plate in this post and will do a 2nd post with just whole plates right after the new year and a flickr post then as well, with a bunch of other images as well.
